Studio Policies

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 2 hours notice. We offer one make up per month. All make-up lessons not used within 30 days will expire.

Limited make-up slots vary by mentor. We encourage students to attend weekly lessons in-studio or online via Zoom.

To schedule your make-up lesson, please contact us at lessons@musicville.com

Make-Ups

If a student cancels a lesson with at least 2 hour's notice, they can receive up to one make-up credit per lesson type each month. These credits can be utilized to easily self-schedule make-up lessons directly through the Musicville Music Portal

  • No make-up lessons are provided for holiday breaks, studio closures, or cancellations due to inclement weather.

No-Shows

Students who do not show up for their scheduled lesson or are more than 15 minutes late will be considered no shows and no makeup will be issued. However, if the teacher is still here of course you can finish up the rest of the lesson.

Students who do not attend for 4 consecutive weeks will be automatically removed from the schedule, resulting in the forfeiture of their lesson date, time, and instructor. No refunds or account credits will be provided in such cases. Before taking this action, Musicville will make every effort to contact the parent/guardian to discuss the possibility of a schedule change.

Instructor Absence

When a student's instructor is unavailable, a handpicked substitute will step in for the lesson. You'll be informed of the substitute instructor beforehand. If no substitute is available, we'll reach out to reschedule via email and/or phone, overriding the monthly make-up policy for student-initiated cancellations.

Inclement Weather Policy

Musicville does not adhere to school system inclement weather policies. Should Musicville close due to weather, all regularly scheduled lessons will take place online (via Zoom). We do not offer make-up lessons, refunds, or credits for studio closures due to weather. Check our website, social media, or email for updates on changes/cancellations.

Lesson Holds

If your family/student needs a break from lessons (NOT quit/or for summer vacation) but wants to ensure they keep their same-day, time and instructor, Lesson Holds are an excellent choice.

Email the following info to our staff at lessons@musicville.com

  • How long do you want to hold your lesson time: 30 days or 60 days?
  • What is the main reason for your hold?
  • Which 2 dates do you want to still attend lessons? (30 Day hold) *optional
  • Which 4 dates do you want to still attend lessons? (60 Day Hold) *optional
  • How happy have you been with your experience at Musicville so far?
  • Is there anything we can do better? We’d love your feedback!

Here’s how a Music Lesson Hold works:

  • Hold requests must be made at least 30 days before the next billing due date.
  • Lesson Holds can be requested for either 30 or 60 days. It's important to note that holds cannot extend beyond the 60-day limit, and each student is limited to one hold per year.
  • Your hold period will begin on your next billing due date. At the start of the hold period, you will be charged 60% of your monthly tuition for the full 30 or 60 days.
  • You have the option to keep up to 2 lessons per month at your regularly scheduled lesson time.
  • Tuition will automatically revert to the full rate at the end of the hold period.
  • No need to start over and pay a $40 registration fee
